Egg-in-a-hole Recipe

Want a new way to cook your egg and toast? Why not try Egg-in-a-hole? Called so because you break an egg inside a hole you made on your slice of bread and cook. Easy? Yeah! Most Egg-in-a-hole recipes have runny eggs so if you don’t like your eggs sunny side up? Let the egg cook for longer and you have your yummy breakfast. Here is the recipe for this awesome breakfast toast. Have fun!

1 slice of bread

1 tablespoon butter/margarine

1 egg

Pepper/spice of your choice

Place you slice of bread on a cutting/chopping board

With a biscuit cutter or the rim of a glass, press a hole in the center of the slice of bread.

Heat a skillet over medium-low heat and melt in the butter/margarine

When the butter is all spread out, place the piece of bread in the skillet and crack the egg straight into the center of the hole.

Cook until the egg sets a bit on the bottom, 30 to 45 seconds.Sprinkle the egg with salt and pepper.

After about a minute, flip it over with a spatula and add salt and pepper the other side.

Let it cook until the yolk feels soft. If you do not want a runny egg-in-a-hole let it cook for longer so that the yolk sets.
